What are the time standards? Time standards are used to determine a swimmer’s level, and the swim meets they are eligible to compete in. For example, there are time standards for a swimmer to compete in the provincial or Man/Sask swim meets. Not all meets require time standards to enter.
When swimmers participate in Swim Manitoba sanctioned swim meets, times are recorded as part of Swim Canada. It is the results from these meets that are recorded and used to determine if a swimmer meets the required time standards.
